The Intervention

We recorded think-aloud protocols from top troubleshooters solving complex cases, revealing their internal reasoning. Trainees watched experts verbalize their diagnostic logic, making invisible expertise visible.

5. Manager Coaching Shift
Quality managers were trained to review not just "did you solve it?" but "did you follow systematic troubleshooting?" Even wrong conclusions with sound reasoning were coaching opportunities, not quality failures.
